Geomarine Invest in New Site Investigation Equipment
Geomarine Ltd has taken delivery of a custom built Comacchio Geo 205 drilling rig to enhance and greatly improve their existing in house site investigation capabilities. This brand new rig comes complete with UK specification guarding and complements the fleet of Archway Competitors and the Beretta T44 based in Jersey.
This significant investment is part of Geomarines commitment to serving the needs of the Channel Islands engineering and construction industries. With the expected increase in demand for site investigation requiring high quality samples, Geomarine felt the time was right to invest in this machine and bring this new capability to the Channel Islands.
Although primarily based in Guernsey the rig will be available across the Channel Islands and new drillers are currently being trained to ensure a consistently high quality of drilling is maintained. The rig has successfully completed a number of projects on Guernsey in a variety of ground conditions including obtaining intact rock cores to the satisfaction of a number of clients.
